Is it normal for the USCIS to video tape an interview for a couple seeking residency through marriage.?

the husband is US citizen the wife is seeking residency through him. They live together.Is it normal for the USCIS to video tape an interview for a couple seeking residency through marriage.?
I havent heard of that either, but with these changing times you never know.Is it normal for the USCIS to video tape an interview for a couple seeking residency through marriage.?
With the way the ACLU %26amp; Other groups are supporting the illegals%26gt; There covering there behinds and if they change there story or facts than there caught %26gt; Finally our tax dollars at work%26gt;
Normal isn't a term I would use. Law would be more appropriate. As long as they know they are being tape it isn't against the law.

Private or government. That is law.
i really don't know, they would not even let me in the consulate for the interview for my wife. but i think that video is legal as long as the person is notified up front.
I have never heard of that but I am sure that they have the right to do that. If you provide enough documentation ahead of time (childrens' birth certificates, photos, joint bank account info, etc.) then they won't even bother with an interview.
A while ago, becasue of the large quantity of fraudulent marriage petitions, there was a plan to videotape every interview of mariage-based petitions. But, due to budget shortages, this plan never got off the planning stages.

Some districts do tape on a selected basis; some tape suspected cases, others tape randomly.
Sure. They may need it in court. Consider it a deposition.
