I ran into an old boyfriend and we hit it off really well again, like we did before, but our relationship ended because neither of us were ready to committ. However, I'd heard that he'd gotten married.
He wasn't wearing his ring and I asked him if he was still married and he told me that it was a long story. That he was staying back and fourth between there and his mom's until he figured out what he was going to do.
How was that a long story? What did he mean by saying that it was a long story?
When I asked him about his marriage he said it was a long story?
';Long Story'; means that he's embarrassed to talk about it..not wearing the ring..he's most likely divorced or taking a break! He probably considers it a mistake and really rather not talk about it.When I asked him about his marriage he said it was a long story?
It could be one of two things. He regrets it and it's a painful issue for him to discuss.OR He could be avoiding it all together.I would say that it's on the rocks and he is regretting that he got married. It could of been a spur of the moment marriage and he could have been forced into it.He is only the one who genuinely knows what ';long story'; he is referring to.Don't worry about it so much.If he gets a divorce then make your move.Until then,he is still married so only remain friends and don't allow him to make any moves on you and vice versa.
There is probably alot of detail that he didnt want to share with you because it isnt necessary - he's trying to figure things out - he's married - let him be.
';long story'; about marriage = my marriage didnt work out and i regretted it and i shouldve listen to people who told me not to get married.
sometimes when people say it's a long story they're avoiding the topic and would rather not think about it. he might not have wanted to mention it at all.
He meant that a lot of **** happened between him and his wife. And he's probably still married.
