Me and my husband are both Christians, and wanted a real Christian wedding. On our wedding night, I thought it was just nerves, but we've been together for over 6 months and there's still nothing goin on down there. Of course divorce is out of the question, but is it too much to ask for satisfaction in the bedroom? I keep searching for the moral solution to this problem and I just can't think of one.I did the good thing, waited for marriage, but my guy sucks in bed. What do I do?
Train him to do what you want.I did the good thing, waited for marriage, but my guy sucks in bed. What do I do?
1: What exactly does he suck in bed ?
(Sorry, but I am English and I do not understand the phrase, it could be a good thing for you, or a bad thing for his teeth)
2: You need happiness in your life, he is your husband he should provide it, if he is not willing or able, then you have to seek some redress.
3: You both went into this marriage with your eyes clouded somewhat by religious beliefs. You should now discus the matter fully and openly and come to a solution that is acceptable to you both, even it is divorce, which is much easier before you have children.
You have the rest of your life to think about, you do not want to look back on a sad and boring existence of deep misery and regret.
Hey!
Wow, you're question about abstaining from sex in the Politics section got you an answer that talked about how wonderful it is not to sleep with anyone but your husband lead to this????
I'm sorry, I had to check your former questions. Several factors didn't ring true in your question (Like 'my guy sucks in bed' which was a little cruel for a wife to say in a public forum and the fact that you know that he sucks, considering if you were a virgin, you'd have no basis for comparison), so I had to background check you.
Have a great day!
Luv ya,
Tashi :)
Communication. Maybe he has some inhibitions. Some inhibitions are actually acceptable. But, perhaps, he may be intimidated. This is a problem I once had myself. There may be something that he believes or finds unacceptable about pushing himself too far. He may, actually be concerned about how you feel about that. It could be a lack of confidence, as well. In my opinions, there are some lines that should not be crossed. But, it may just be that he actually loves you for more that just your body, and he doesn't know how to express that.
Did you pray about it? Ask him, your husband, what he wants, sexually and tell him what you want. Together and respectfully explore your sexual desires. Be open and loving about it as this can be a touchy subject (no pun intended- for real). Frustration will only make it worse. Try to make things comfortable and fun not like your going in for a drivers exam with a check list! Lol.
Talk to him (gently) about it. Encourage him to try new things. Tell him when something feels good and listen/learn when he is enjoying something. Get over your morals and buy a sex techniques book. Try various things from it with out making a production about it. Experiment with oral sex both for him and with you. Tie him up and masturbate to an orgasm in front of him or have him do that to you.
Just like any sport, you need to practice various techniques to be good at them, the nice thing is that the practice is pretty fun as well!
Remember that the biggest sex organ is your brain.
Communication is the key. People don't just know what to do in bed, they learn, just like everything else in life. Don't be afraid to let him know what you want, but also make sure you ask what you can do for him as well, it is a two way street. Try making a game out of it, ';Find the sweet spot'; is a good one.
see where religious superstition gets you? frustration... i had a friend who waited for marriage as well. then she found out that her husbands 10 inch penis wasn't very comfortable to be with, so they got a divorce. i guess god works in mysterious ways! lol... seriously though, if there were a god who really cared whether or not you had sex before marriage, don't you think he would have awarded you with a husband to equal your sexual prowess?
Congratulations, you passed the biggest test Satan puts before Christian couples: Sex before marriage (ie fornication).
You should have gotten some premarital counseling by your Pastor before the wedding day.
If not, try getting the book by Gary Smalley called ';The Act Of Marriage.'; Have him read it too, and remember that communication is the key.
Both my wife and I were virgins when we got married over 23 years ago. Believe me, it only gets better as time goes by.
Well luckily being a good lover is not a genetic thing - it is an acquired ability. There are classes, books, tapes, DVD's, counselors and other things available to help guide %26amp; teach a less than knowledgeable partner in the area of intimacy. So - what's the problem? No one is BORN knowing these things....
The moral solution is you answering the question ';Which is more important to me, my marriage, or my sex life?';
While you mull that over, go to WalMart and pick up one of these: http://www.peaksalesandmarketing.com/ima鈥?/a>
Contrary to what women think, men are not mind readers. But, we are willing to try just about anything that a woman puts in front of us. It goes back to the whole Adam and Eve thing. Anyway, try this, now stay with me here and let me know if I lose you, ';TELL HIM WHAT YOU LIKE AND TELL HIM WHAT YOU WANT HIM TO DO!';. I guarantee your mutual pleasure. And quit with the mind reading crap already, sheeesh!
The responses above are funny. Trouble is waning faith. Jesus didn't come to save your orgasms. Fear of God brings wisdom. Loving God brings joy. Craving sex is putting your desires before Him. Pray for the answer. God is there to listen if you make Him your first priority.
get a book and read up on techniques. Rent an erotic movie and try some of the moves from the pros. Buy some cool things like big shaped pillows or swings for the bedroom so you can get more creative and broden your horizons.
Good Luck!
ha, that sucks hard. Um, try marriage counseling, there are some pretty great sex therapists out there. Or just start off by telling him exactly what you want him to do, some guys need a map.
If it was your first time for both of you, of course you won't be experienced. You both need to experiment and practice. You don't know anything from birth, except how to poop eat and cry. :)
Hmmm, your question about ';deviant'; behavior makes think I've sniffed out a troll..................
Buy a copy of the new edition of the Joy of Sex.
read it. get him to read it.
make him talk about it
stuff like this shows why we need sex education in schools
Have you asked him about his opinion of your bedroom performance? Maybe need some more communication.
Is oral sex against your religion? Because seriously... most women need stimulation in more than one place to achieve orgasm. That's a fact.
And here is yet another example of how superstition is harmful.
I'm taking this question lightly since I don't know if it's serious or not, but why not just teach him nicely how to improve?
Never, ever, ever buy with out a test drive.
Too bad, cos good sex doesn't exist in heaven either.
You should of got it out of your system when you could.
This is why sex before marriage is the right thing to do!!! if your sex life is crap your marriage will suffer!!!
Teach him a few new moves. You have to put a some effort into these things and make them develop the way you want.
Hmm.. what does he suck in bed?
I didn't think gay marriage was allowed between christians.
Buy a dildo.
Some women would love that from their guy. Oh, not that kind of sucking.
There's the problem right there. You're both christians and let your religion dictate your lives.
christianity is not of Awesome God.
You could go but Kama Sutra books or Tantric Sex books to improve but I guess that would be going against your bible.
God is Love, Love is God.
Trust Love.
Peace, love, calm and positivity to all.
Have an affair with your next door neighbor.
Just lie back and think about England.

What happen when you get marriage in massachusetts as same sex marriage?
then you move to california? will the state accept your same-sex-marriage?What happen when you get marriage in massachusetts as same sex marriage?
The marriage is only valid in a state that recognizes same sex marriage. Until the federal government declares that same sex couple will be given the same rights on a federal level as traditionally married couples, your 'marriage' will not be valid in other states, unless they, also, recognize same sex unions. What happen when you get marriage in massachusetts as same sex marriage?
I'm pretty sure the other state won't accept it unless they already accept it for their own residents.
What counts is what state you were married in, so if you go to California nothing happens.
Um, not to be snarky but - this question belongs in M%26amp;F because...?

Why is it that a western women has to be the centre of a marriage?
even if you have three children together, it's all got to be about her, and even if she is not working. Why is it that a western women has to be the centre of a marriage?
Children are certainly do have a very high importance in the family system, but the marriage should be the priority in the family. If the women is not happy and the marriage is not solid, those children will suffer! Whether your wife works or not has no relevance to the happiness of the family. Women who work are unhappy too. In fact, when you say your wife complains and sleeps all of the time, I am inclined to believe she may be clinically depressed and would perhaps benefit from seeing her doctor. I say out of concern for your wife as a health professional.
On another note, the happiness of women in this world depends on a great many things. Support and love from her spouse and children and a spiritual outlook are very necessary parts of this. This is not negotiable, this is nature. Couples become unhappy because they do not understood the laws of nature and our true purpose in this world. If we understand our purpose and become equal with the laws of nature, we can have harmony in our relationships. I would encourage you to read the following links if you are interested in learning more.

not western women, AMERICAN WOMEN AND BRITISH WOMEN....
is the anglo culture where women are entitled to become fat pigs and they remain BBW, get real hahaha
is the culture where women abuse and do whatever the hell they want with their man and the man has to take it because she is the woman and times have changed
I dont know where youre from but I live in the US and I wouldnt touch the average american woman with a 10 inch pole!!! they are disgusting, selfish, ignorant, abusive, lazy.....
I would only marry foreigner women!!!
it's you, not her. You want a woman to be reasonable, you got to tame her. Their like mustang horses. They don't like to be told what to do, or how to do it, want to go where they want to go, and when they want, its them first alot(but not all of the time) you got to ride her to tame her. they wont admit this, but it's true. if your not blowing her away in the sack, you got little chance of ever changing things, sorry that's just the truth. So, knock her socks off. Then you got no problem. If not, you'll never stand on equal ground. your marriage will suck.
Oh man, after reading your additional info, ah, nevermind, you go tto give her a wake up call. Don't know how though for you. Good luck
I've seen it before. Some mideastern or Asian guy marries a western woman and then complains about what he got. Did it ever occur to you, that's the best you can do and that decent western women don't want the likes of you?
Put her in her place or kick her to the curb. Your woman is the issue not all western women are like that.

How do you feel about gay and lesbians that are angry about the gay marriage ban targeting Mormon churches?
They can be angry. The problem I have is all the vandalism that has been going on at LDS churches and temples that you don't hear about in the national news. The media doesn't care. It's despicable. Here in Utah you hear about some type of vandalism happening every day. Envelopes with powder being sent to temples. Protesters disrupting regular worship services, disrupting people's right to practice their religion. Then some of the blogs I've seen with gay people saying their going to murder all the Christains. If there were people doing this to gay organizations then you'd hear about it like crazy.
The proponets of gay marraige are just as fanatical and practice the same amount of bigotry as those they say are against gay marraige. There's a lot of hipocrisy going around. It's interesting to see that some gay marraige proponents profess they just want equality, but when it comes right down to it, most are not willing to offer that same equality to those they disagree with. They ignore the right of the Mormon members to believe how they want and take part in the political process how they want and use scare tactics and threats because these people believed how they chose to and practiced there right to vote.
Maybe that's just part of being human. We all believe our way is the right way and every one who doesn't believe how we do is just ignorant or stupid and some day they'll come around. We never, of course, try to understand where the other person is coming from or why they believe the way they do. God forbid we actually try and understand each other peacfully and come to a conclusion we can both agree on. And BOTH SIDES are at fault for this, so don't go on reading this thinking, ';Oh yea, that other side is totally like this.'; I'm talking to YOU!
What it comes right down to is that every one who voted in prop. 8 had a right to vote one way or another and shouldn't be ridiculed and denegraded for the way they believe. I can understand peaceful protesting, but all the vandalism and voilence that you don't hear about in the national news is unacceptable. How do you feel about gay and lesbians that are angry about the gay marriage ban targeting Mormon churches?
I don't have a problem with them being angry- that's not a problem. It's when that anger gets expressed inappropriately, illegally, and violently that I get worried.
When non-Mormon women try to take down signs posted illegally on LDS temple fences and get beaten for it... That is a problem.
When people (of unknown affiliation) swerve to hit the children of Prop8 supporters... That's a problem.
When people are protesting illegally (without a permit), that is a problem.
Feeling angry when receiving a perceived injustice is only human, and it would be inappropriate for me to tell others they're wrong for feeling as I would feel if I were in their shoes... but allowing one's anger to harm or endanger others is simply not acceptable.
Their hate-in-the-name-of-love is a pretty darn hypocritical. I think they want us to condone, rather than simply tolerate, their chosen lifestyle.
The people of California have spoken.. twice (2000, 2008), but the homosexual community is still unwilling to accept that they live in a democracy and therefore are bound by the will of the majority.
Some are calling Mormons hypocritical because we were once also the victim of legislation limiting our marriage priveleges (no, it's not a right!). Granted, we didn't like it. The law was written and passed with an unconstitutional end in mind (Government is not to limit religious practice- it's in the Bill of Rights.), but we've complied, even when it meant broken homes, husbands and wives never being able to see each other again. But, since ';we believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates in honoring, obeying, and sustaining the law'; as a church, we complied. How do you feel about gay and lesbians that are angry about the gay marriage ban targeting Mormon churches?
How do I feel? Well, they have a right to feel like they are being treated unfairly, just as I have a right to believe what they are doing and *want* to do, is sinful. Anytime the world takes a basic gospel principle and says it's contrary to what God intended, that's not a good thing. They may have ';Rights'; but that doesn't make it ';right.';
It's sad that they feel the need to single out the LDS church. There were many other organizations who supported Prop 8. I don't mean they should be harrassing everyone who supported it... it's just sad they think they need to.
Oh well. It will blow over for a while, then I am sure it will come up again and next time it might not pass..
middle eastern mythology should never mix with politics. and the only reason homosexuality is an ';issue'; is cause of the religion, they make it an issue. before christianity, homosexuality was acceptable in europe. its not an issue for us, its only love. what on earth makes it right for them to tell people who are they allowed to love?
They have the right to be angry, but they don't have the right to attack any people with so much hatred. How would you feel if someone targeted your place of worship? It's not right. We need peace, not hate.
they have a right to be angry...just think, what would you do if you werent aloud to marry someone you really loved and wanted to spend the rest of your life with?
I'd say they should be angry. In fact, I think heterosexuals should be angry. So, why aren't they? Bigotry, I would have to say.
It's the ';I'm tolerant as long as I always get my way'; philosophy.
they can be mad if they want to.

How would GOD of answered the gay marriage question?
Gos is not about hate. How would GOD of answered the gay marriage question?
This is the best argument I have heard against gay marriage.
Gay marriage doesn't satisfy life's purpose
It is amazing to me the extent that people will go to in order to achieve their personal goals. Take, for example, Prop. 8 that was on the ballot . This is the second time the California voters have passed this law, and yet those who fought against Prop. 8 continue to fight against the will of the people.
They keep saying this is a religious issue. That is not true. Everyone needs to answer the question of “What is the purpose of life?” Leaving religion out of the answer, as well as the Bible and personal opinions, there is only one answer that can be given that will satisfy the laws of NATURE. That answer is: “Reproduce yourself and your species.”
Can two female or two male marriage partners conform to this law? No! So, this is not a religious issue alone. It is an issue that defies the laws of nature. The animal, bird, fish, insect, and plant kingdoms all live this law. They reproduce themselves as per nature's laws.
If any of these kingdoms failed to live this law, their kingdom would become extinct in a short period of time. If the plant kingdom failed to live this law, there would be no food for man or animals to eat. We would soon become a dead planet.
Only man wants to defy this law of nature. In so doing, they become destroyers of, rather than contributors to, the human race.
Society is based on the family of husband wife and children. This is how the next generation rises. I can just see states or countries legalizing gay marriage and then losing population. How would GOD of answered the gay marriage question?
Those that claim gay marriage is against the Bible don't know what they are talking about. If they were that educated with their Bible they'd realize that there are two instances of gay marriage in the Bible--believe it or not because it's true, but many don't realize it and aren't taught it in their church!
Check out I Samuel 18 on up and read carefully. Also, some translations aren't the greatest as the Bible wasn't translated correctly, but it still gives a clear picture. However, knowledge of what certain words meant in Biblical times is important to get anything out of the text.
Sorry to give a bit of a sermon but I'm tired of hearing people talk about how the Bible is against homosexuality when the Bible was not translated correctly. For instance, many quote Leviticus 18:22 as ';Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.';
It's actually translated a bit wrong, but it's easy to see how it got messed up because this is the correct translation, ';And with a male, thou shalt not lie down in a woman's bed; it is an abomination.';
What was the abomination were two men in a WOMAN'S bed because back then a woman's bed was sacred and the only man that should touch a woman's bed was her husband.
Again sorry for the sermon, but I'm tired of all the nonsense concerning this issue and those bringing up the Bible when they don't even have the knowledge of the Bible as it was translated wrong in many instances. Another quick example, many are raised to believe Jesus was a carpenter. That is false! The word that was translated into carpenter actually meant a person that worked with their hands. Jesus was most likely a mason--worked with stones. It doesn't take a genius to realize that part of the world still doesn't have all that many trees and they don't seem to have an over abundance of wood.
he already has...in the US anyways. ALL indivduals were granted equal rights. I am sure that GOD would be ashamed to know that religious dogma's and fear are interfering with the rights of other individuals who do not share one faith. Remember, we were granted inaliable rights (freedom of religion) by the Creator, not by the US government.
the question is which one, if you are asking a gay person, he might say he does not believe in god so then it is not a bad thing because its a mutation of the brains function of atraction. in this case its the same for some animals. for conservatives they think god will condem them to hell for ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That would depend on which version of God you believe in, and where in the religious book you go to find out.
I believe in the Bible myself, so I'll go with that one. The Bible does state on a number of occasions that homosexuality is considered a sin.
However, Jesus also states that we were not to force our beliefs on others. We were to go door-to-door and person-to-person, using reason and scripture, not law and force, to show others why they should WANT to be a part of God's Kingdom; and then let them make their own choice.
How God would handle it is between God and the person answering to Him at the time. If you believe in the Bible, you will have to answer to God for your sins, I will have to answer for mine, and everyone else on down the line.
But how God would want us to handle it? Jesus made that pretty clear. For this situation, we were to go to homosexuals and tell them about the Bible, God's plan, what Jesus did and why it matters to them, etc. Then, they must make their own choice and decide their own beliefs.
But God gave me my choice on what I believe about Him and how I serve Him. And it is incumbent upon me to make sure that I allow others, ALL OTHERS, that same choice.
He already did: Now for the matters you wrote about: It is good for a man not to marry.[a] 2But since there is so much immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman her own husband.

I assume that if God did not approve of gays, he wouldn't have made them.
He bought it up. Didn't he? I thought he ran everything.

What do you guys think about gay marriage?
Im just curious. R u for or against it in the US, why or why not? What do you guys think about gay marriage?
I'm not gay .But I believe in freedom of choice and liberty .I don't know why any one cares as long as they don't have to sleep between them .For that matter what business it is of anyone else .People would be better of worrying about their own marriage instead of what some one else is doing in their house .Maybe so many marriages wouldn't end in divorce if they did .Besides that ,couldn't they claim common law marriage after living together so long .Hell let them start a family too, if they can figure out how to have kids .I got enough to think about in my life than to lay awake at night worrying about other people .If its against gods law then god will straighten them out .He don't need a bunch of busy bodies down here doing his job for him. What do you guys think about gay marriage?
I feel that people are people and if you want to be with a person that happens to be the same gender it is perfectly normal you love who you love and if someone dose not like it too bad cause it's your decision!!!!!
I don't see why not. Marriage is just a convinient tax situation.
Why should the government force you to join with someone you're not interested in to get the same rights as a M/F couple.
I wonder how this even got to be an issue. Why people care I will never ever know. I certainly don't care if two people of the same sex get married. Seriously who does care? Why would people care about what other people do with their life.
I am actually against it. Marriage is truly something between a man and woman, involving deeper feelings than lust. Gay people...if they wanna get together, that's their own business. Besides the whole religion thing, if being gay is simply some sort of hormonal imbalance, then would they truly love each other for their personalities? And say they did...but straight men can love each other without getting married either. It's complicated...but it just doesn't make sense, and is just going to cause a whole lot of trouble if it is passed.
Honestly I don't really care. If 2 people are willing to share a commited life together than who am I to stop them? Its hard enough getting straight people to commit, why stop others from doing it?
Marriage is a religious institution, over which the Church has full jurisdiction. The state has no say in religious matters, so this is a non-issue. ';Moral'; conservatives who wish to impose their narrow-minded view of morality and humanity upon the rest of us are pushing this as an issue.
The last time we had God in charge of government, we had the Crusades, the Inquisition, and a Church filled with corruption from the top down. I, for one, will not live on my knees, coerced to bow down before your silly ideas of right and wrong.
Probably just as tedious as it is for most hetero's I would imagine.
I am against Gay Marriage. Because the definition of marriage is the holy union of 1 man and 1 woman. I am all for Gays to have a ';Civil Union which gives them the same Governmental rights as marriage.
I think marriage is a personal choice. The government has no business getting involved. Who cares who marries whom.
Why not let them be miserable like the rest of us. lol
If normal marriage is so good and ';holy';, why do 50% end up in divorce?
If your gay your gay OK take the civil unions and be happy. Why do gays always have to make a big production out of their sexuality. They just want to be allowed to marry for acceptance but homosexually will never be a norm of any society

What did your family tell you about marriage, love and sex?
Hello I was just wondering what you have learned from your family about creating romance with another person. Is it a beautiful union. Is it just a fantasy of the mind..... or is it all very real to you?
All ideas are welcome :)What did your family tell you about marriage, love and sex?
Well...my mom has told me on ocassions to keep my virginity until marriage, and if i can't do that, at least graduate with it..[i'm 15], because the guys in high school are suposedly about nothing :]
Not only keep it because they are supposedly about nothing but she says once you do it, you could feel as if your values are lost and that they all remain with that person...and if i fall out with that person i could be emotionally messed up and i should just focus on school right now instead of boys :].
that's how i was raised...and also the bible says flee fornication !!!! EEK!![1st cor.]
My mom has told me that love is when a person respects not only your body but your mind...
WELL%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;that's what my mom says.
This is what I believe.
I'm not going to lie, I jedi all the time. [jedi = mess around] but don't get me wrong, i do it with people who i know. The guy who I currently hook up with, I've known for two years, he's like a brother, and we've JUST start becoming intimate after two years...but i like kissing and have done so with old friends. I do not believe there's anything wrong with that.
I PERSONALLY am trying to keep my virginity [[by hookup i meant like kissing and you know...teenage stuff :]] but my views are mine...maybe biased from my mom's but totally my ideas.
I would like to remain pure because it's like. i've kissed i've done this i've done that. spiritually what am i going to be able to give to my husband? the man who i'd be spending my whole life with. ultimately my virginity to me, is the only thing that i wold have left that only HE would be able to have...and giving it away to one of my high school friends for a moment of pleasure is not worth it to me..
besides...i get off on just being fingered anyway. im good with that. so idk that helps me keep it.
I believe that love is a beautiful union and I believe that someone you love does indeed respect how you think, how you feel, how you look, and supports you but also helps you to grow and be better. Someone can support you and give you honest opinions to help you grow...you know?
I believe that love is considered a union because its when two people who essentially know almost everything about one another, get together and do great things.
Love to me is an emotion, I believe it can be both and is the fantasty of the mind of which becomes very real to me when it causes you to indulge in physical things.
those are just my ideas..what do you think?? :]What did your family tell you about marriage, love and sex?
I learnt that hooking up isnt good, cos at the end you lose control and end up having sex. get closer to God. someone somewhere has been created for us and when the time is right they'll be shown to us, not as a vague image or a chance but a very clear picture.
humans arent angels, they may err now and then, but the point is to know that u did the wrong thing and repent.
I'm 24, a virgin( was at the verge of losing it with a girl who is no longer a prt of my life), i still repent doing it. waiting to get married now before i have sex.
sex is divine , it isnt something for the body alone, when it degrades to that level, know, we are no longer human
Here in India we are facing generation gap between parents and children about these matters. Everybody understand and experienced it by their own and circle.
nothing
Let's see...I learned marriage was life's goal, and love was great and sex was bad. Yep, thats about the jist of it....just now TRYING to overcome those inhibitions now at 24.....

You don't marry/date someone because of their money. That is wrong. You marry/date someone because you like/love them. No one will marry you, when you have that kind of attitude. Change your views about marriage and maybe than you will find someone.

How are Same Sex unions different from Marriage?
Its a simple question, what are the legal and practical differences?
Bible answers don't count. I'm an atheist. How are Same Sex unions different from Marriage?
As far as I am aware, a marriage document is legitimate anywhere. A union or whatever will be legal in some places and not in others (depending on if they allow gay unions).
A union was just some smart cookie's idea of allowing gay people to marry without pissing off those bigots (i.e. christians). How are Same Sex unions different from Marriage?
Marriage must be honored from state to state. This was very important when biracial marriage was legal in some states, but not in others. Anyway, states are not required to recognize legal unions, so a gay couple could be fine in one state, nut lose their right is they move to another. I hope this helps.
Marriage is a legal contract, same sex unions are not.

If we are supposed to protect traditional marriage?
Could someone please give me a time, and culture that defines it, as it appears that tradition wasn't even the same 40 years ago.If we are supposed to protect traditional marriage?
There is no such thing as ';traditional marriage'; because it is solely based on personal preferences. I fully support that marriage should be available to anyone regardless of sexual or other types of orientation.bourjois

Why do Cons praise the wisdom of the People when they vote against gay marriage But?
Condemn the wisdom of the People when they vote for and elect a ';Socialist '; PresidentWhy do Cons praise the wisdom of the People when they vote against gay marriage But?
Homos have no place in churches getting married. It goes against America and God.Why do Cons praise the wisdom of the People when they vote against gay marriage But?
Because of the reasons behind the votes, and potential similarities of the results.
Sodomite sanctification has the real potential to destroy the woven fabric of the American family (and some activists have admitted as such). So does socialism.
For the same logic that Liberals see no problem with killing the unborn, while supporting giving constitutional rights to pigs killed for food?
Because they're hypocrites.
They'll condemn a mistake a liberal made 40 years ago but then say that the candidate of virginia's thesis is irrelevant because it was so long ago.
They'll say Democrats are cowards for not supporting the Iraq war and then attack Obama for sending more troops to Afghanistan.
They'll happily vote for all their own congress people who have all kinds of pork, especially under a Republican congress and then magically forgive them when the Democrats gain a majority.
They are complete and utter hypocrites.
one is right the other is wrong(left)
Why do liberals praise the wisdom of people when the vote for gay marriage, but condemn the wisdom of people when the vote for concealed carry laws?
Its politics.
I think you know the answer to your question already.
you answered your own question, he's a socialist!!
Both sides will praise anything that gets them their way. We're like little kids.
Unfortunately, ever since Dan Quayle lost his bid for the Presidency forty years ago because the Republcans were 'holding on to their war chest' for the next election (and they've been angry at their own stupidity ever since)...Congress (and that includes the Democrats) have proven to be the MOST WORTHLESS expediture the American People have ever witnessed.
Because while not all conservatives are religious lunatics most religious lunatics are conservative.
Religious loons believe that their Magical Buy-Bull gives them the right to prevent two consenting adults from entering into a marital contract.
You are assuming the are thinking before they make decisions. I think they don't think. I think they are like a bunch of parrots who mouth off the hypnotic trigger word of the day %26amp; you see it on the questions here look at the over 7000 questions with the word ACORN in the data base. Remember hockeymom would have the jump to their feet %26amp; clap with the ear to ear grins. Maverick, Maverick, Maverick, polly want a cracker. Anyway, they are repeating whatever the right wing media tells them to repeat so logic is not in any of this.

one is right the other is wrong(left)
How long does it take for a green card application to be processed? (Through Marriage)?
Hi
I am british citizen and will soon be marrying an American. Does anyone know how long I can expect the green card process to take?
Do you receive a work permit while it is being processed?
Will it make a difference where we get married? Should we get married in the states on the fiance visa or outside and file the application afterwards.
ThanksHow long does it take for a green card application to be processed? (Through Marriage)?
If you are intending to get married here you should go for the K-1 visa petition and if you intend to get married first before coming over here, it should be the K-3 or CR1 petition. If you choose K-1 you will have to adjust your status or apply for your green card after you get married. Mine took 3 months from application to green card issuance.Time frame varies from 3 months to 2 years. Some gets to be interviewed while other skips it.If you choose the CR1 which is an immigrant visa, your green card and SSS card will be mailed to you few weeks after you entered the US.You can apply for work permit along with your AOS or green card application for free. It takes about 90 days for a work permit or EAD to be processed. You can read more on requirements in www.uscis.gov and a good website to browse and join forums is www.visajourney.com.

What id is needed to get a marriage license in Florida?
Can i use a Jamaican Passport ?
What id is needed to get a marriage license in Florida?
Yes, passport is ok.
To make sure that you have all your ducks in a row, contact your city or town clerk's office who will direct you to the right information. Many towns now have websites with all marriage license requirements spelled out
Most states require birth certificates, proof of citizenship and/or residence, and a driver's license or other photo id.
What id is needed to get a marriage license in Florida?
When my husband and I got married, we used driver liscences. Not sure if the passport will work, but you can always call the local courthouse and ask for marriage licenses and they will tell you.
ID Requirement: Picture ID such as a driver's license and your Social Security card or a valid passport number or I-94 card.
Passport is the primary form of id. You can also use a driver's license and a secondary form.

Are the gay population going to rise in England and Canada now that gay marriage is legal over there?
*
By 2 fold? 4 fold? or 10 fold????
P.S. I don't believe homosexuality is a choice... the nature of this question is sarcastic. Are the gay population going to rise in England and Canada now that gay marriage is legal over there?
I don't know. The number of gay celebrities has, like, quintupled in the last decade. Elton John. George Michael. Graham Norton. It's becoming quite the epidemic and terribly fashionable.
Whatever will straight girls do?Are the gay population going to rise in England and Canada now that gay marriage is legal over there?
Gay marriage is NOT legal here in Britain. Gay couples can have a ceremony forming an official ';Civil Partnership'; which includes certain legal rights, but it is not a marriage and is not to be considered as such. Heterosexual marriage still has much more recognition in law.
Sunnyannie is wrong. Civil partnerships in the UK bring exactly the same rights and responsibilities as marriages. The difference lies only in the format of creating that legal contract - words spoken aloud in the case of marriage, a signing in the case of civil partnership. See http://www.civilpartnershipinfo.co.uk/#D鈥?/a>
No, it won't.
All that may happen is that the percentage of confirmed
homosexuals may rise, as it becomes more socially
acceptable to publicly proclaim yourself as gay. Gay
marriage doesn't make people gay, being born gay
makes one gay.
It has been legal in Canada for some time correct? I don't think they have really flocked there yet. Why start now? They need to stay here and fight for their rights until they achieve them! That's how I feel anyway. I don't think they should be considered any different from the rest of us.
yup, me and my 25 adopted kids from the four corners of the world are marching to a city near you, and we are all angry, of course. Oh and my bordello of boys, they will be there as well, wearing matching collars and submitting on their knees, of course.
Possibly, we wouldn't mind though, apparently we aren't as bothered as the americans. Would you be suggesting that the 'bandwagon' mentality would see more people becoming gay because others were?
';Gay Marriage'; is not legal in the UK. We have civil partnerships which are equal in status to marriage, which is what US LGBT activists would be fighting for if they had any sense.
Yes ... making gay unions legal will make everyone want to try it out. EVERYONE.
It might in the sense that some might want to move there because they are apparently accepted there.
You know it's going to be popping out all over the place now..just you wait, Massachusetts and Connecticut will be spilling over with it too..
**rolls eyes**
By no fold.
yes it will rise as people want to be accepted
Hey, let's all move!
Well sure...when they all start reproducing. Wait.......
yes, all those gay people are having kids.
na, i hope our gay folk stay and fight for equality here. we need it.

When the democrats were in the opposition, they seemed muchly in favour of gay marriage, attempting to widen?
gay rights. Now that they are in power they are doing f+ck at all for gay rights, or gay marriage ? How come ? Are gays only dear to democrats, when they can propose bills for republicans to block, to make them look bad with undecided voters pending 40% towards conservatism and 60% towards liberalism ? Or is it just a crazy theory that the gay agenda is nothing more than a pawn in the game of the democrats ?When the democrats were in the opposition, they seemed muchly in favour of gay marriage, attempting to widen?
Everyone is a pawn to politicians. I'm sure there are a few honest ones out there but for the most part they use who or what they can to get power and money. That's what it is all about. When the democrats were in the opposition, they seemed muchly in favour of gay marriage, attempting to widen?
Because, like it or not, it seems due to the recent elections, democrats and republicans alike are both homphobic.
I think the two things being done wrong in this campaign is using the term ';marriage'; and going after the wrong voting block for support.
The gay community needs to identify with independents and say F you to the democrats and republicans alike.
well, because there are more important things to handle, like keeping us alive, food, money, cloths, necessities, economy, and business. Then the President have people already trying to re-elect another President while he's still in office, disrespecting and disregarding the people that did vote for him. All that stress, honey gay marriage is at the bottom of the list, especially when America depends on heterosexual families having male boys to fight wars!
there is no gay agenda unless its singing into a hairbrush to barbara streisand songs . after the election is won , the promises go unmet . this is true of both parties . as johnny rotten used to say - ever feel like youve been screwed ?
';well, because there are more important things to handle, like keeping us alive, food, money, cloths, ';
-We handle that OURSELVES, the government needs to do it's damn job and protect the rights of ALL it's citizens. That is it's ONLY job.
the only use gay people are to the democrats is votes
at least the republican part has family members that are gay or lesbian and love them all the same
remember the edwards / Cheney debate!bourjois

Is 19 too young to think about marriage and pregnancy?
I'm 19 and I have been living with the love of my life for 6 months, we want to get married in a few years and possibly start a family after that. The doctor says that if I don't conceive within a year or so, I probably won't be able to due to a medical condition. My boyfriend and I want a family of our own, but now we dont know what to do. Should we start ttc now and if we do succeed then say that it was meant to happen and if not well then we'll adopt in the future? Please help me..I'm so confused here! We will be able to support a child if we did conceive, and our families understand the situation 100%, so they wouldnt be mad at all!! Any responses are greatly appriciated! Is 19 too young to think about marriage and pregnancy?
First, I would get a second opinion! I am unsure what condition you could be referring to, but I would think any condition that gives you a six month window to conceive would adversely affect your ability to carry a baby full term, not to mention childbirth complications. With something so important and serious as this, you would want a second opinion. A baby changes your whole life around totally. You are making long term choice here that may seem to make sense tight now, but are you certain you will feel the same way in two, five, ten years?
How certain are you that HE will feel ready to give up his lifestyle and be happy about it still in two, five, ten years? There is usually a tremendous difference between people's outlooks and maturity at age 19 and age 24. At 24, you look back on yourself at 19 and realize all that you did not know, but thought you did, and you do not want to look back with regret. A baby is an anchor, and that can be both positive and limiting. But you are legally of age to make your own choices. That is my answer based on the limited amount of information you gave. I hope it is helpful. Is 19 too young to think about marriage and pregnancy?
No I don't think your too young. I am 24 years old and my child is 3 years old.
yea, i think it is! maybe wait a year if u want to
if u feel confident that u r able to be a gd parents who r able to provide financially and emotionally to ur kids, being 19 is not a problem at all to think abt marriage n pregnant.
If you have the support of your family, and can pay for most of the expenses yourselves, you could, but although you want your own children, would you and your fiance ever consider adopting when you are financially stable? Even if you did get pregnant now, when you are more stable and possibly wanted more kids you could give a child a better life.
gawd YES
live a little
travel while you can
If that is what you want, i had my first when i was 22 and i think it would be better if you have one while you are young, because the lack of sleep, endless crying during teething and chaseing a very fast for his/her age toddler gets harder as you get older. And if God wants you to have one if not you wont and some precious child who needs your love support and stability will become your child.
I dont think 19 is to young, im 20 and gave birth to my son 7weeks ago i was 20 in may so i was 19 when i got pregnant and like you i had been living with my boyfriend for 6months. iv always been mature for my age and moved out of my parents when i was 16 and lived alone until i moved in with my boyfriend. My life is totally different from all my mates who all still live at home and are single but then it has been since i was 16 i guess. i stil see all my mates so i dont feel iv missed out. It depends on how u feel tho because everyones different some ppl would/will say 19 is to young, and for some it is but only you know if ur ready. lots of people at my work said i was making a mistake and would regret it but they couldnt of been more wrong. Good luck watever u decide xx
I know how you feel, my girlfriend and I are in a similar situation. We want to start a family but we dont exactly have a lot of time to do so. Im 19 and shes 2 years over me, but you just really need to find it in your heart wether or not you want ot do this. As long as you truly love each other than I dont think 19 is too young.
Good luck!
Go for it!!! Really take a look at what you are doing first. I am 20 and my boyfriend is turning 19 this september. We have been together for 5 years and have been living together for a few months. We love each other a lot and are thinking about having kids in the next few years. We want to have children young (hoping for a boy). His parents are not happy about it, my mother is thrilled! We are going to be getting married next fall. I think that we are ready for it. Honestly who is to judge your relationship but you. Just make sure that you would love you baby there are so many children that need to be loved out there. We are thinking about adopting a child down the road as well. Good luck to you. You both sound like a sweetheats!
It's alright. My mother and father were married at the age 17, That's way too young but they lived through it. 19 is two years older, that's usually the range of marriage, about 18-40 or maybe even greater. Don't worry, you can get married at 19, and start a family too. Good luck! :)
I was engaged at 17, got prego, lost our baby at 5mo. married an prego again at 18... In a happy marriage with a beautiful baby boy at 19.
There is a such thing as being too young to start having a family but you are past that point. If you are ready then do it. If not...
look at it this way, the doctor said ***probably*** won't conceive. Do you know how many times doctor are 100% wrong on what they say- alot. Trust me, I work with them and have had my own bat with a doctor had her findings, or lack there of.
Don't rush your life just yet, don't get married and prego now because of the doctors findings, only to find that in a few more years you come up pregnant with your second child. Miracles happy, the unexpected happens all the time. Do it because you want to and have no fear about the future.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that if you have the right tools and use them at the right time, having unprotected sex over the course of time, you will come up pregnant.
If worst comes to worse, ya'll are both successful so when the time truly comes, and IF you don't conceive naturally. Medical technology has advanced so far... freeze your eggs now or try invetro, you might end up with an extra 2 or 3 children but it's definitly worth a shot.
Point is.... This is a decision between yourself and your BF.. noone here, not even your doctor has a choice in this matter. I can only help to show you your options.
Britany
Well there are plenty of families out there that are started younger then yours and are just fine. Please consider that you have plenty of time for children. I would seek more medical advice on what condition you have. There are several treatments availiable for most people with fertility issues and having kids at 19 is very hard. My best friend got married young and had twins at 19. The hospital actually tried to force her to give up at least one of them since she was so young. And that was even though she was married! She now wishes she had waited a bit longer just becuase she is more patient now then at 19. I waited till 25 for my first child and I'll tell you it was hard even then. If you want a family now then go for it. Just make sure you are doing it for the right reasons and take the time to make those decisions!
Good luck!
first, i would get a second opinion on your medical condition, just to make sure everything is right, and if you did conceive there wouldnt be any complications. ive never heard of a doctor giving a timeframe to conceive like that... it never hurts to get a second opinion.
no, i dont think 19 is too young. i got engaged at 18, and married right after i turned 20, my husband and i are deciding when the right time to ttc is for us. i think its more about maturity and financial responsibility. please sit down w/ your bf and see if you will be able to live off of his income and w/ a baby if you have problems w/ your pregnancy and are not able to work. i can understand not wanting to adopt, and wanting a child of your own to hold and love. if you and your bf belive this is the right thing to do, than go for it! also, its amazing you have your family on your side, that is a big help. good luck, and god bless!
I don't think age is a huge issue, but have a child for the right reasons. . . because you love one another, you want to have a family together, because your both ready and willing to work towards a common goal for your child, etc. Don't have a child because your scared you won't be able to later. Don't rush into it b/c someone tells you if you don't do it now you never will. Saying you ';probably'; wont be able to is different that saying its impossible. I have friends who were told they could never have a child and after trying it happened. So don't let that be the reason. Do it because you want too, and you love each other. Sit down and talk about all the responsability that goes into having a baby, b/c it is alot of work. You will be tired and up every few hours during the night. Its a big commitment. But if the positives of having a baby outway the negatives for you, and your willing to work together, then I say go for it.
I think that you should wait like a year or 2 living together, analyze your relationship after a while...Just remember forever is a long time.
If you two have been together for a while and understand the responsibilities that come alone with a child and your family is supportive id say go for it. Just because you have a child especially with a supportive and helping family also doesn't mean you cant full fill your dreams with college etc. Just make sure you know that its a life changing choice...
Good Luck
I am 19 and thinking about pregnancy and marriage too, but my boyfriend and I want to be responsible, financially secure parents so we are waiting to have children until we have graduated, found jobs, and have been working for about 5 years. Your situation is different b/c it's kinda ';now'; or ';never';. Still, you could adopt a child, borrow an egg from a sister (if u have one), or find a surrogate mother later on in life when you would be more stable parents. My vote is to adopt later on in the future. The child will benefit more if raised when you are older. Until then, your boyfriend and you should be going to college and/or looking for jobs (if you don't already have). Start saving up for the future.
Also, sometimes the doctors are wrong. You still may be able to conceive in a few years from now. Good luck!

Good luck!
Do men have more to lose in marriage than women?
I think so. Divorce was illegal for a long time it was feminists who lobbied for it. Divorce is set up for women imo.
I see more and more women proposing to men and less and less men proposing. Also I see a lot of anti-marriage websites and blogs out there for men.Do men have more to lose in marriage than women?
Both can gain a lot if they are married. I believe many failed marriages result from not grasping relationship expectations prior to marriage. The relationship dynamic usually changes over time as each spouse goes through their life cycle.
Both can lose equally. But the focus should be placed on what they could gain.Do men have more to lose in marriage than women?
It was not ';feminists'; who lobbied for divorce. Henry VIII divorced his first wife, Katharine of Aragon, in the 1530s (a date that, I think you'll find, predates feminism by a few years).
How exactly is ';divorce set up for women';? Nowadays, most women work, most households are dual income, and both partners have as much to lose financially by divorce. Alimony is exceptionally rare, and only granted when one partner has sacrificed her (or his) career to raise the couple's children.
What you fail to mention is that people of both genders are choosing not to get married. If you don't want to get married, don't. This whinge is getting old.
One word: alimony. Based on an archaic notion that women are incapable of supporting themselves without a man in the house, that leaves the ex-husband supporting a woman who's life he has no involvement in indefinitely. Men also often have a lot less rights when it comes to contact with children from the relationship.
So, the 1950's patriarchy mixed with extremo-feminism, and yeah, I'd say there was a lot to lose.
Roger,
Divorce was never illegal; I must confess myself not knowing about other countries other than the arab countries and the states. Many will argue the point and say women and men are forced to stay married in an Arab country; I beg to differ; being that my Syrian neice obtained a divorce herself; yes, over in Jeddah; she was completely unhappy with him. Now in the states, ever since Colonial days people and that includes us women have been allowed to divorce.
On the whole a lot of men don't want to bother getting married is because they don't want to be taken to the cleaners. Being a woman I don't blame them.
Marriage is suppose to be a bond, a unit of two people pledging their lives together; these days its, too, commercial.
I am firm believer that a marriage will make or break in the first 6 months.
When you first get married, you have to keep your friends and have some free time to yourself, at least one day a weekend or one night a week with your friends, and away from your spouse. Keep your friends through your marriage and get away once in a while. The couples who do this, usually stay together longer, because they don't tire of each other quicker.
No man, in this day and age, should enter into any marriage without having a bank account hidden, and not signing a prenuptial. Men work harder at keeping a marriage together than women do.
Yes. The problem stems from the fact that the government has taken it upon itself to define marriage. All the problems related to marriage are due to this.
So with divorce settlements, a man and woman cannot draw up a contract which determines what will happen in the event of a split. The government won't recognise it - a MUTUALLY agreed upon contract. Amazing. As always, we seem allergic to allowing people to make their own decisions.
Let's take an example. Say the man has $5m and the woman has very little. They can agree on what is fair. The woman might get 20% of the assets for ten years of marriage and no children. 10% for five years. If there are children involved, she might get 40% for ten years. If the man does not fulfil one of the terms of the contract (say he is unfaithful), the woman gets more e.g. 50% regardless of duration. If the woman considers it unfair she doesn't sign. If the man considers it unfair he doesn't sign.
What is wrong with this? Nothing, it's just good sense. Enforceable contracts and the protection of private property are the cornerstones of liberal capitalism. The state refusing to recognise contracts and deciding the outcomes of marriage is tyranny.
An interesting point: if the government ceased to define marriage, this would change male-female relations considerably. Women would not give up sex so easily and men would behave better. Relationships would improve. We look back dismissively of traditional arrangements, but annoying conformity and lack of freedom aside, the old social institutions and conventions serve a purpose. Marriage makes men responsible and provides security to women. The health of society depends on it.
Here in the USA, the men have more to lose. The woman gets 50/50 of everything you have and MORE if you have children. If you are broke, they garnish your wages from work. They don't care if you work at McDonald's earning minimum wage, they still take what they can. So basically you'll go from broke to homeless.
Rich men will go from rich to 'saving money'. The worst part about it is that the woman can be having relationship, living or having sex with her new boyfriend, while the ex-husband is paying child support and continues leaching off the money.
Here the woman is always the victim and the man is the abuser regardless of what happens. This is one of the many ways feminism has destroyed American society!
Yes, Feminists f*cked up marriage!
With the ';Sexual Revolution';, feminists told women ';You can have sex with whoever you want, whenever you want';!!...so, women started sleeping around, so there is no incentive for men to get married!
Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?!
Now we have all these desperate women and Cosmo articles about ';How To Get Your Man To Marry You';...no wonder more and more women are ';accidentally'; falling pregnant to trap/guilt a man into marrying them...because there is just no legit reason for men to get married anymore! We can get sex from all the sl*ts out there!!
Are you kidding me? What do guys do in a marriage? The same things they did when they were single. Work. What do women do? Have children, choose between her job and her child or struggle with both, take care of the cooking and cleaning and laundry for multiple people, there's some unspoken rule that once you're married going out with your girlfriends to clubs and bars in unnacceptable, etc...The only thing that would be a downside for men is that they can't hook up with random girls anymore. Well, some of them do that anyway.
Men have everything to lose, while women have everything to gain.
If you marry a FEMINIST, you're sure loose, not only more, but also, you're f*cked. Period. End of the Story.
Do not confuse marriage with divorce. Both parties can gain so much in a GOOD marriage. Otherwise it can be a living hell for both.
I think anyone who has a major relationship break up loses far more than they let the outside world see. Financially speaking, whoever is earning more money has more to lose.
Yes because women can get sex pretty much anytime they want without much effort while it is harder for a man to get instantly layed unless he is a Brad Pitt look alike which most men arn't
If they've happened to marry a feminist then they have everything to loose.
Only if the men do not protect themselves when it comes to marrying someone in the first place if they have lots of assets.
I personally would not marry, as I do not like the law interfering with my relationship.
Obviously, and less to gain.

I need help with sale of home, marriage & tax questions. Can you help?
I bought a home in 2000 and married in June of 2006 and moved in with my husband. Sold my home in July 06. My husband is in government service. He got a job, moved and bought his home in 2005. Right after we married, he was promoted and asked to move again, 800 miles away. So we sold his home in 8/06 and purchased another in 10/06 at the new location. Is the profit from sale of homes taxable? Even if move was at request if govt.?I need help with sale of home, marriage %26amp; tax questions. Can you help?
Hold on a second....Stephanie has it partially right.
For your home, if you purchased it in 2000 and sold it in July 2006, and lived in it from 2006 to June 2006, you can exclude $250,000 of gain on the sale. Since the home is only in your name, you only get to exclude the single/separate amount rather than the joint amount.
For your home with your husband, if he bought it in 2005 and sold it in Aug 2006, you can exclude a portion of the gain (subject to limitations). Unless your name was added to the deed of the house after you were married, then again, only the single/separate limit applies, not the joint limit. Since your husband did not meet the ownership and usage test of 2 years out of 5, normally he would not be able to exclude any of the gain. However, since the sale was necessitated by a job related move, you can prorate the gain exclusion. You would need to take a look at how many months he owned AND used the property from the time he purchased it to the time he sold it and then divide it by the total number of months in two year (technically, it should be prorated in days, although approximate months will be easier to calculate). Take that percentage and multiply it by the maximum gain exclusion of $250,000 and that will be the maximum amount of gain you can exclude. You cannot make a blanket statement that because you moved because of work, none of the gain is taxable because that is incorrect.
If you look at your fact pattern, house purchased in 2005, moved in July 2006, sold in August 2006, assuming that the home was purchased January 2005, the gain exclusion is calculated thusly:
18 months (Jan 05 - July 06) / 24 months x $250,000
So your maximum gain exclusion is $187,500. If he purchased the house in July 06, then the maximum exclusion is $125,000 (half of $250,000 since he only used it as his principal residence for one year). Any gain on the sale in excess of this amount is taxable as long term capital gains (since he owned the house for more than one year).I need help with sale of home, marriage %26amp; tax questions. Can you help?
THANKS SO MUCH!!
if you lived in your home for 2 out of the past 5 years, then you can exclude up to $250,000 gain on the sale of your home from tax. the same goes for your husband. assuming you both sold your homes with less than $250,000 gain EACH, then the sales of your homes are not taxable events.
congratulations!
If you sell your home due to a job move, then you can still exclude some of the profit from taxes even if you don't meet the two-year rule. It doesn't matter that the job has anything to do with the government, that's the rule for all job-related moves. The tricky part will be that you have two home sales in the same year. I'd talk to a CPA about this, to see if there's any way for you to claim both. This might be a case where filing separately might benefit you,
I can help... I'm a CPA.. and do taxes for a lot of people/businesses in Real Estate.. you (owning a home as an individual) can sell a home for up to 250,000 and not suffer any tax liability. if the home was owned jointly, then you can sell it for 500,000 and not be taxed on the money.
if the sale, and new purchase was necessitated do to a transfer and move of more than 50 miles, whether govt or not.. then the sale is not taxable and the moving expenses are all a tax deduction.. including time that you might have gone to the new location to look for housing.
Does any of that make sense??
It does not matter if it was requested by the government. When you sell your home, the profit is taxable. However, you usually get a credit towards the taxes when you sell your primary residence and use that money to purchase a new primary residence.

Is there a difference between a sexless marriage and a non-existed sex life or?
Are they the same thing? Is there a difference between a sexless marriage and a non-existed sex life or?
I'm not sure what you mean but will take a stab at what I think you mean.
A non-existed sex life to me means someone who has never had sex and is not having sex. If that's the case, that person does not know what he/she is missing.
A sexless marriage means that good probabilities at one point there was sex in the marriage. For whatever reason, the sex stopped. The person who did not decide it should be stopped is more or less a victim of the spouse no longer wanting to have sex. That person knows what is missing in their life and is suffering more than the person from a non-existed sex life.
I know first hand as I'm one of those victims. Is there a difference between a sexless marriage and a non-existed sex life or?
this is a hard one. um i'd say no. my parents dont do it anymore and their still together they been through thick and thin together. and when u stay with someone even though u dont do it anymore. thats real love. me on the other hand nahh i couldnt do it..
I've heard that the 'technical' meaning of sexless marriage is less than 10 sexual encounters a year
either way its bad.
I love it so much that would be grounds for divorce. I love the feel of a women.
It just doesn't get any better then that
Yeah pretty much, but why would you want to be in a sexless marriage?
same thing
Geez... I'd like to know... maybe I have your husbands twin!

What is the best way to propose marriage?
After spending the entire day with her doing all kinds of cute things and planning every detail, take her to a quiet park in the evening where you've prepared blankets and wine and watch the sunset. Stay there til you're Star gazing and talk about the future and get sappy as ever. And pop the question after a sweet long speech about how want to spend the rest of your life with her and make babies with her and do mundane everyday life with her. And have someone in the bushes taking pictures so you capture the moment. What is the best way to propose marriage?
Send her on a scavenger hunt through the mall . Have a wrapped gift waiting for her at each store with instructions inside for the next store to go to. Such as a nighty from Victoria's secret with a note inside to go to the music store and etc. then finally the jeweler with a note meet me at the north entrance and have a horse and carriage waiting and hold a sign that says
';MARRY ME';What is the best way to propose marriage?
by not asking on the internet and finding it within your heart imagine what your wife to be will think if she finds out someone from yahoo answers made your proposal for you
While your on the battlefield with a government satellite phone, say ';if I live through this, will you marry me'; Worked for me. she said yes.
the most individual and natural way.
good luck.
be yourself
have a very romantice time. got to dinner at the place where you first went out. make sure that from where you are sitting is a nice few. have some flowers ,wine, and some music playing. then pop the question.
Speak clearly------make sure you know what you are asking.Really, you will know when the time is just right......
Let her bring it up....
IS there a best way? I dont think so. Just be yourself.
Put it on a billboard. I have a friend who did that. She saw it on the way to work one day.
Creatively---from YOUR heart, nobody else's!
Mix in something that is meaningful to the two of you...hobbies, pets, or special foods.
recreate every aspect possible of your first date
Ask her right out of the blue. Over breakfast. After dinner. You will know the moment. When you look at her and feel how much you love her, that's the moment. It could be when she is out in the yard planting bulbs, with dirty hands and old clothes on, you get the drift.
Most guys have trouble with the ring, will she like it or not? My answer to that one is to pick out a beautiful ring that has her birthstone in it. Give that one to her when she says yes and then let her pick out her own engagement ring. That would appeal to the practical girl, and to the girl who likes jewelry, two rings are better than one, always.
No set ups, unless she's that kind of girl. Then hey, anyone can rent a balloon ride or plant a ring in a piece of cake.
My opinion is, it's not about being flashy or like it happens on TV where everyone is watching. It should just be memorable and something you 2 can relate to and appreciate.
Find something that is special to the both of you. First date, Your song, etc. then set up everything according to that.
or
you could take her on a trip to some place romantic. Don't forget the camcorder though. hide it somewhere and press record so you'll have that memory forever.
Rent a billboard that others can see while driving in the city and Have it read '; Her name, there is no one else on earth I could imagine being my wife. Will you marry me? ......Then take her out for a picnic and take a portable cd player with a cd of songs that you and her have shared together since you met. After your picnic drive her to the billboard and in some way get her to look up to see it and read it. That would be so awesome..hehehe.
God bless!
do something that is unique to her. if she loves flowers take her to a green house thing and hide the ring in her favorite flower and tell her to get really close and take o good look. when she does explain that you love her and how you feel then when she spots the ring go for it and ask. good luck.
Put the ring on your penis and make her find it.
Get on one knee and ask her.

How do union members feel about gay marriage?
It seems that union members are more fiscally liberal but very socially conservative. How do union members feel about gay marriage?
True, but many union members are from a different time and not as ';open-minded.'; My mother in law is one of them.
I, on the other hand, am a Conservative/Libertarian who thnks at the very least gay people should have Civil Unions that have every right and responsibility that marriage has.How do union members feel about gay marriage?
How is gay marriage country to nature? First, homosexual activity does happen among animals, second, why is what animals do our basis for behavior? Some monkeys throw their poop at each other, some animals eat their own offspring. We should do that too?
By the way, saying gays have the same rights to marry someone of the opposite sex is like saying Iran has religious freedom. Yeah, they do, but you're only free do what the government decides is Ok, not what your conscience says you should.
Gays already have the same rights as everyone else. To marry someone from the opposite sex .
Queers don't need marriage, they need psychiatric help.
I'm totally fine with it. I don't know any socially conservative union members.
Why does it matter? Gay marriage is contrary to nature and should not be legalized.
I have no idea. I have no reason to think your presumptions are correct.bourjois

You know most people don't care about Zodiac compatibility when it comes to marriage?
most guys will just marry hot girls. they don't care what sign she is as long as she's hot.
and most girls marry for money. You know most people don't care about Zodiac compatibility when it comes to marriage?
Guys dont care about zodiac compatibility as long as the girl he likes is beautiful and hot. And girls marry guys for money because they want to roam the world and buy tons of things that they are interested in like jewelry, clothes, etc. I see lots of girls on yahoo horocopes section more than i see guys. You know most people don't care about Zodiac compatibility when it comes to marriage?
then that is why most people are divorce.

What are the pros and cons of marriage?
I don't think I'll ever get married. The person I love is weirded out by marriage. What are the pros and cons of marriage?
Marriage isnt for everyone thats for sure. What are the pros and cons of marriage?
The Pro's of getting married is legal access and authority for spouse, tax deductions, other financial and legal benefits. The Con's are legal and financial accountability and responsibility for you're spouse.
Example: You can claim you wife as a dependent make medical decesions, and collect life insurance if something should happen to them. You would also have to pay for whatever debt they owe and take care of their welfare. At least if they ever had to go to court, you're allowed not to testify against them.
In my situation
the pros:
knowing that the person that I love chose me above all others as
someone they will always be there for - for companionship, friendship, sex, etc.
financial - tax breaks, two incomes, etc.
great sex whenever I want it
really the only cons:
feeling like sometimes I get sick of always compromising what *I* want to be doing, and worrying about someone else.
It may not matter what the pros and cons to marriage are, if you partner does not want to get married, than it might not happen.
pros - spending time with the one you care for
the legal bond is safe
growing old with the one you love
Sharing your anniversaries with your children
Too many to name
Cons - mother-in-law
I really don't know cause I have done ti once and really saw absolutely NO BENEFITS from it I just saw the CONS from it but
I will NOT GET married again and I am happy in my Family unit as my partner doesn't want to do it again either
PROS
a partner%26gt;discounts%26gt; save money%26gt; always have a DATE lol
CONS
make decisions based w both you guys%26gt;
Your cons may be someone else's pros, and vice versa

Mormons, why do you fight against gay marriage yet call polygamy good?
How do you justify polygamy? I know that it is no longer practiced but you claim it was ';commanded'; by God. The Bible does not say that anywhere. The Bible shows polygamous families in conflict.
My great great grandfather was put in prison for polygamy. I think polygamy caused lots of problems in his family life. My family is still torn apart by mormonism.
Why can't you see that polygamy is evil?
If your leadership told you gay marriage was right would you be supporting them today? I think you would.Mormons, why do you fight against gay marriage yet call polygamy good?
When Joseph Smith began his secret polygamy in the midwest in the 1840s, it was just as repugnant to most people as homosexuality is to conservatives today.
It is what eventually got him killed and got them all driven out. Well, polygamy and block voting and land speculation and threatening their neighbors.
Polygamy in religion has nothing to do with sacred and everything to do with greedy leaders, men with huge appetites.
My great great grandfather also went to jail for it while his families starved. He wasn't able to support them even when he was out of jail because he was away on mission in Europe.
He was a very poor immigrant and took on way more than he could afford because he was told directly by Brigham Young that all LDS leaders needed multiple wives. Shall I look up that quote by Young? It was during the 1857 reformation.
It was a hellish life for the women and children and we have the journals to prove it. Of course, these kinds of journals never quite make it into LDS church folklore.
The scary thing about Mormons is that they will do ANY horrible thing their leaders command. We are left to wonder what is next.Mormons, why do you fight against gay marriage yet call polygamy good?
Oli, You stated that nowhere in the bible does it approve of polygamy and yet, God gave David many wives, he gave Solomon many wives and the list goes on and on about the different ones God gave many wives to. I suggest you get your facts straight before you go writing anything like this in the forums as it only shows your lack of understanding.
Also, homosexuality is not only a sin but it is also against the law. Many states and many countries have laws prohibiting Sodomy, a word that comes from the name of the one city God destroyed because of its homosexuality. Now, if the law is against it and the bible is against it then how can you be for it? Don't you know that you pit yourself against God himself when you support that which God has said is wrong? You need to wake up my friend before it is too late and your soul can no longer be redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.
While the mainstream mormon church doesn't condone polygamy anymore (mainly due to it being illegal), there are a few offshoot sects of mormonism that still practice it.
I have to say though - I am straight, and the idea of having several women sounds better to me than having another man.
Of course, they would be mormon women.. they wouldn't be into teh kink....
Polygamy is definitely still practiced.

I get what you're saying. Mormon's are just... backwards.
And how many wives did the ';Prophets'; in the old testament have.
Surely the ';Bible'; can not be wrong when you read the stories of them and their multiple wives?
It's like their double-standard it's traditional marriage but gay marriage YUCKY that is the mind of a mormon
You're just sorry you're missing out on the multiple partners thing.
they say they don't support it but that is bunch of bull.

What do you have to say now to Joann Rosario concerning Donnie McClurkin's Marriage to His Best Wife from God?
What Advice will you want to give to Joann Rosario now concerning the way that some people thought that Donnie McClurkin is marrying Joann Rosario end of this year (2008) instead of people thinking that Donnie is marrying His Best Wife from God?What do you have to say now to Joann Rosario concerning Donnie McClurkin's Marriage to His Best Wife from God?
Joann Rosario keep your hands off Donnie McClurkin because he's someone else's husband from God!!!!!! Joann Rosario if you listened to God earlier you should have known Donnie is not your husband from God but someone else's husband from God a long time ago before you even started to have anything to do with Donnie!!! So Joann Rosario what it is is that you knew that Donnie is not your husband from God but you just wanted to use him and for Donnie to like you and keep his attention on you, and then leave him for His Genuine Wife from God to come and pick up the bad pieces that you left over! Next time keep your hands off someone's husband from God!!!!!! Because The Word of God says that ';To Obey God Earlier is Better than to Sacrifice';!
And remember Joann Rosario concerning who is your husband from God it is rather good to choose to Obey God Earlier first than choosing to Sacrifice first and then obey God later since The Word of God says ';To obey God is better than to Sacrifice';. And so if you had Obeyed God Earlier first than Sacrificing first then you would not have had any relationship with Donnie McClurkin that will make people think that Donnie is marrying Joann Rosario end of this year (2008).
And Best Wishes to Joann Rosario and CoCo Brother in their marriage which is also end of this year (2008).What do you have to say now to Joann Rosario concerning Donnie McClurkin's Marriage to His Best Wife from God?
And I will also like to say Best Wishes to Joann Rosario and CoCo Brother in their marriage.
Do you even know these people?
I'm shocked. does he have a worst wife from god?

How do you work on bringing your marriage back to ';normal';?
My husband can be a workaholic! He might work 7 days a week one week and some weeks he'll have off a few days. We go nuts trying to figure out what we're going to do. Back in the old days (2 yrs. ago) we used to be able to enjoy ourselves just by sitting at home doing nothing. Now it seems we're looking to get out more and we have a baby, so that doesn't help.
He has lost all intimacy and he isn't very open with his emotions/ feelings. He changed a lot since we had our daughter in November. I just want to go back closer to that honeymoon stage of marriage. I've only been married for two years, but lately, married life isn't as enjoyable.
When you feel your marriage becoming a separation, not a unity, what do you do? (and I'm not talking counseling, what can the couple do?)How do you work on bringing your marriage back to ';normal';?
Having children changes a marriage. I am not saying it's right, I am just telling you how it is. Your husband was use to being the #1 person in your life. Now the baby comes first. They don't understand motherhood. They don't understand that when that baby cries how it makes you feel. Also having a baby limits where you can go and what you can do. One of things that you could do is to get a baby sitter on his days off and go do something just the two of you. He loves the baby but he just doesn't want to hear about every goo goo and dah dah or how many times the kids had his/her diapers changed that day. Maybe he is not as intimate as he use to be becuase he finds it hard to compete with the baby. You need to think of the things you did together that were funa nd made you happy and how you both felt when you first fell in love and how and why you got together in the first place. Then you need to bring some of those days back. Get a baby sitter and go have some fun like you use to before the baby. When you do go do things together without the baby, make him feel like he is #1 again. Talk about how your life has changed since the baby and ask him for some input on how you can still keep the intimacy in your lives and raise a family. If he is feeling this way about this baby, I would think really hard about having any more. Part of the reason he has become a workaholic is because he doesn't like being at home. Make sure that at least 3 nights a week when he comes home that the baby is in bed for the night and he has all of your attention. How do you work on bringing your marriage back to ';normal';?
write down what you used to do and plan your next ';current'; event accordingly. It's hard when you put kids in the mix. and for him to work 7 days....WOW. Get a sitter for 1 day, and ask him to take a day off (plan in advance). And do something romantic.
What you are going through is normal. Most married couples get to that point where the newness is gone and reality sets in that things are just not like they were when you first met. Well...thats when you have to ';choose'; to love that person. Love is a choice...and yes its not easy to keep trying when things are not going so well and life is weighing down on you. So...why dont you make the first move and try to bring the sparks back into your relationship. The next time he comes home be waiting for him in some sexy lingerie...dont come to the door and meet him...let him find you and then pull him into the bedroom and seduce him. Thats a suggestion....that would definitely surprise me and get me going...
Well first you need to tell him how you feel and that things need to change now. You need to set aside time and find a sitter. And I told my workaholic husband that he better start looking for a new job because couples get divorced all the time for that reason. I'm tired of being the in-home sitter/cook/maid, stuck in the house until he can get home to relieve me of my sitter/cook/maid duty.
I've told him time and time again, and at first he would get really pissed (and I would not say it in a confrontational way, but ';matter-of-fact'; like), but now he is realizing that it's causing problems for his life too (you'd think that your marriage should've made you realize that). So now he is looking for a new job.
Oh, it also helped that I started leaving everytime he was home (the gym, shopping), and then he missed me and got mad that I was gone all the time. (????!!!!)
Marriages go through ups and downs. It is how you deal with those times that makes all the difference in the years. My husband and I love to do a mix of both staying at home and going out. We have 2 kids and we sometimes get babysitters or we plan an outing with the kids. Anything that you can do to increase time with each other and give yourselves a chance to laugh and have fun is good. Children change your dynamic and often our priorities, but we still need to have time together. Intimacy is created on moments where 2 people learn to communicate on different levels and find enjoyment out of the times they have.

Now, I don't know what profession is your Indian suitor. But it is not easy marrying into a different race. Not all marriage to Indians leads to hell. I'm married to an Indian myself, though I am not a Phil. But adjustment is one thing, getting used to their expectation of a wife is another thing. A racial marriage will only work out when both parties respect each other's culture, religion, skin colour, etc. The idea of living in another country with your lover may be exciting. But when problem starts, you wl be all alone, no one to turn to. Generally, though not all, Indian men expect their wives to literally be at their back and call. They don't care if you are tired %26amp; they don't care what the time of day it is. When they're hungry, they expect the table is laid with their favourite food. Think really hard, girl. Do not get into a racial marriage just because of passion. Mentally, you have to be prepared and mentally you have to be strong and smart.
He's probably a trafficker luv I would be carefull. They are good at what they do and honestly how long have you known this bloke? I don't think you can annul your marriage when you are in a different country. The Philippine government surely wouldn't look kindly on that.bourjois

A good book on codependancy in marriage?
Ive seen ';The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work'; by John Gottman and saw that it has the most stars in Amazon. Is that the best for resolving codependancy issues as well?A good book on codependancy in marriage?
I've never read a codependancy book, so I can't TRULY advice you any..
But, here is a list of books on codependancy:
Confessions of a Codependent by Jacqueline Williams
Stepping Stones to Recovery from Codependency by Glen Abbey Books, Katie C
Codependents' Guide to the Twelve Steps by Melody Beattie
Codependent no more by Melody Beattie
and, of course, the one you mentioned.
If books don't help, therapists may be able to.
Codependancy is a hard thing to overcome, so good luck to you or your husband (don't know which one is codependant). But no matter what, good luck to you both.
