Is the structure and frequency of marriage in the US about to change?

Will the children of the incredibly high divorce rate families in the US marry less often, or treat marriage as less of a lifetime commitment, than their predecessors? Will advocates or detractors of the Women's Movement, Men's Rights or Gay Rights have a greater influence than organized religion on whether and how often we marry? Am wondering what my late-teen sons are headed into...Is the structure and frequency of marriage in the US about to change?
Advise your sons that marriage in the United States is probably the the worst financial mistake they can make. Marriage has not been treated as a committment in the US since the late '60's, but community property can be the death of the person financially. Advise them to run credit reports on potential spouses and DEFINITELY advise them to have prenuptial aggreements if they own any property before they get married.

Sure this is not the answer you were hoping for - but it is the way it is.Is the structure and frequency of marriage in the US about to change?
Doubtful. It really doesn't matter what everyone else is doing, as long as what you and your sons are doing is what they should be doing. All these high divorce rates are just more natural with human biology. The past was something negative when women were abused, low educations, heavy breeding and the fear of being unable to eat would keep women inline. I believe this forces men to be better people as well, while growing in an dynamic world.

I too believe in Gay Marriage, and this should be an option for gays. I also believe there should be no expectation to get married, as many should never try it. I believe it should start with the individual, and not the other way.

Also, I am prefer that organized religion stay a religion, and not a mandiated way of life for everyone who may or may not be apart of any specific religion.
No. Because when your in love your blinded to all logic. Couples will continue to fall to the fast beat of hormones!
Jay Jay answered what I would of said but she worded it better.
