Why are people against sex before marriage?

Why are some people against pre martial sex when at least 95% of americans do it?Sex is a natural part of life so why do we feel we need a ring on our finger inorder to do it?Also,why do people forbid pre martial sex when they themselves have done it?Why are people against sex before marriage?
I agree that if you don't have sex before marriage you are missing out on a LOT!!! For example:


1. Fear of pregnancy


2. std's


3. Herpes


4. aids


5. Possible abortion


6. And last but not least, giving away your one beautiful gift before you are married. If you have premarital sex, then the gift of your body isn't the same on your wedding night to your spouse. Instead of a beautiful, unopened gift, you have a package that is crinkled, opened, and hastily glued back together. Sex IS a natural part of life! I mean, come on! God CREATED it! But only to be enjoyed between married couples. If there are two people who have stayed virgins until marriage, they don't ever have to worry about comparing their mate's body or way of having sex with another, and since they have nothing to compare to, they CAN BE SATISFIED! They also never have to worry about the possibility of unwanted diseases. God knew what He was doing when He gave us the guidelines for having sex. He loves us and wants us to have ';fun';! But we really won't be satisfied with it unless we do it His way. You can deny it, but deep down it's true. Thank goodness He ALWAYS offers a second chance. He WILL forgive you of doing it if you only ask Him, and He will help you to live a life of virginity from this point on. There's nothing wrong with being a virgin. It's something VERY special. because once youve tried apple jacks, cheerios, frosted flakes, cocoa puffs, pop tarts and cinnamon toast crunch, youll never be able to settle on grape nuts without thinking about apple jacks, cheerios, frosted flakes, cocoa puffs, pop tarts and cinnamon toast crunch. If you plan on settling with grape nuts in the future then doesnt it deserve your full commitment.
because maybe they don't want their kids to go through what they went through ... ie - pregnancy, abortion etc. or maybe it could have to do with religious views and what they believe in ...
