Should states that hate gay marriage honor gay marriages performed in states that permit gay marriage?

Call me curious. No, I do not want to engage in any marriage, gay or straight.Should states that hate gay marriage honor gay marriages performed in states that permit gay marriage?
Sure. It would be funny as heck to see Texans wig out when they have to honor the marriage of Mr. and Mr. Rush Limbaugh.Should states that hate gay marriage honor gay marriages performed in states that permit gay marriage?
I honestly think they should. To whoever said ';every state has their own laws,'; that's not 100% true, since the Constitution has the ';Full Faith %26amp; Credit'; clause, so you generally do honor things like contracts and marriages that were formed under a different state's law. The Federal Defense of Marriage Act removes gay marriage from this general rule, however, by saying that states don't have to honor gay marriages that happened out of state.

I tend to think that it's always suspicious when laws make exceptions based on someone's membership in a minority group, so I think that for purposes of equality, I think states should honor ALL out of state marriages, whether they're same-sex or, as Miss CA puts it... ';opposite marriage'; ;-)
I am all for state rights, but same sex couples deserve the same rights and benefits as same-sex couples. Anything else, would be considered discrimination.

If states want to define marriage as one man, one woman, then that would be ok, even though I would be against it. But the states should allow an outlet for civil unions, with the same benefits.
There is no ';should'; about it.

They are required to do so by the US Constitution, Article IV, Section 1:

';Full faith and credit shall be given in each state to the public acts, records, and judicial proceedings of every other state.';
The answer to that is written in the Constitution! Try reading it.

Marriage is a wonderful Institution, I just hate to see anyone institutionalized!

2 Wicked Divorces talking.
No of course not,It's the same as trying to carry a firearm registered in another state and still be alowed in another.

Every state has their own laws. Can't see how anyone would think it's possible otherwise.
I think they should recognized by every stae. I also think this won't even be an issue by 2020.
All states should allow gay marriage.
homosexuality is an abomination, and goes against all the laws of God and nature!!
They should and the will.
Yes. They are bound to do so.
Yes. See: ';full faith and credit'; clause
There's that hate word again. If you don't embrace something then you are labeled as a hater. There is a big difference. No state should honor another state's law that it disagrees with.
No states that do not have legalized gay marriage shouldn't recognize it..
No each state has a right to its own laws.
no
