She said that marriage is between a man and woman, and the crown was given to Ms Calorina!Was Ms California refused to win because of defining marriage?
I seriously don't think it was a ';COINCIDENCE'; that a GAY judge, asked this question about GAY marriage, to Ms.CALIFORNIA, but it is a shame that she was jeered by some folks and ESPECIALLY that garbage Perez Hilton, only because of her belief, this subject is actually a lose - lose situation because each side makes it seem as if the other one is forcing them to think a certain way, with no possible 3rd choice, so in another words, that particular question was pretty much the dagger, regardless of who it was asked to, and by who

I do think that she was denied the crown based solely on her answer, which is wrong in a way. But Miss America is supposed to represent America, and her answer didn't fulfill the judges views on that. Granted it's a ';contest'; that parades women around in their bathing suits, and they don't have anything real,to do other than wearing the crown at ribbon cutting ceremonies and the like, so to me it's not that big of a deal. The crown just went to another cookie cutter bottle blonde image of her anyway. I mean c'mon, you have to look at them really hard to tell them a part.The results don't affect our lives at all so why sweat it?
I think it was RIDICULOUS that she was disqualified because of her OPINION. An opinion SHOULD NOT be wrong, that's why there's a freedom of speech in this country!! And she not ONLY gave her opinion but she DID answer the question, i guess Perez Hilton should go back and re watch the tape!!





EDIT: She said she was glad that States have their individual rights and bla bla bla so right there she was answering the question but people only hear what they want to hear.
Well; although I personally believe that freedom of speech should be for all people regardless of their beliefs, I can't really feel too bad over this situation. Anyone remember the Dixie Chicks? Dan Rather? Don Imus? Joe Wilson? I guess the question in my mind is; What exactly does: ';With Liberty and Justice for all'; really mean?
She made a mistake, her crime was freedom of speech. Unfortunatelly sometimes true freedom of speech is a privilege of the grave. Expressing your oppinion can get you in ideological battles. It was a tricky question, since they already knew of her Christian beliefs...sad.
