Should same sex marriage be legal in your state?

We now have four states in which same sex marriage is legal. Gays and lesbians say that they want the commitment and responsibility that goes with traditional marriage. What are your views on this? Please do not answer giving Bible quotes or references.Should same sex marriage be legal in your state?
It should be legal. America is supposed to be a free country, and religion is supposed to be separate from the state. I guarantee you if the christians weren't against gay marriage it would be legal everywhere right now. Should it be legal in my state? I live in Pennsylvania, YES AND NO. Yes, it should be legal in my state, I should have the right to get married to the person I love if I want. But, then, NO, because, if it was to become legal in my state, my boyfriend would want to get married, and marrying him would be the biggest mistake of my life!
It is legal in my state, and I think it should be legal in more states. No one's saying that anyone has to accept gay and lesbians lifestyles if it goes against your beliefs, but certainly we can show some tolerance? I thought we were supposed to treat others as we ourselves would like to be treated?
I just think that people should be able to love whoever they want to love. Saying that you can't love someone who is the same gender as you is kind of like taking away freedom of speech or freedom of privacy, etc. People can't really control who they love, so just let it be.

Yes it should. The government shouldn't be deciding which religion's marriages are ';legal,'; just recognizing all of them, Methodists, Evangelicals, and Neopagans alike.
I think it should. I understand the need for having the equal rights when it comes to insurance, financial and other needs. Plus the right to be joined is a personal choice.
