From the local civil registry office in Karnataka India. Send a relative there to manage that for you.I married in july 2000 now I want to get marriage certificate from India Karnataka. How I can get.?
if your marriage is not registered, then it can be registered. For that personal presence of both the parties is mandatory alongwith marriage pic, 4 pp each, address proof, invitation card, divroce degree, if any, one witness having PAN Card and affidavit of each spouse.

First you must collect proof of marriage like photographs of marriage, video clips etc. Then consult a marriage registrar (who is usually a lawyer) of the area where the marriage was solemnised. That is jurisdiction of that particular lawyer who also acts as marriage registrar. He will give you a form to be filled up and signed by you and your spouse. And then the rest will be managed by the lawyer after getting the marriage being registered at Govt marriage Office. The lawyer will give you the proof in form of a 'marriage certificate'. If you personally deal with this matter, it will be fine. If not, then with due written authority to someone of your relative or friend may serve the purpose. Such authority letter must mention reason of your inability to deal with this matter.
Write to the Registrar of Marriages at the place where you got married. He should be able to solve your problem.
