When was the Federal Marriage Amendment passed?

I looked all over the place and can not find the exact date. I am kind of tired of looking lol. Any help? When was the Federal Marriage Amendment passed?
The Federal Marriage Amendment, a proposed Constitutional amendment, has not been enacted (so it hasn't ';passed';).

You may be thinking of the Defense of Marriage Act, a federal statute (not a constitutional amendment) that passed congress in 1996 and was signed into law by President Clinton.

The proposed FMA would ban any state from granting marriage rights to gays %26amp; lesbians; the DoMA says that if a state does grant marriage (or other similar) rights, another state that does not is not bound to recognize those rights as part of the Full Faith and Credit clause of the constitution. When was the Federal Marriage Amendment passed?
It wasn't.
